The Career Exploration Officer (CEO) Student Ambassador Program is a leadership program that offers Jackson State University students an opportunity to represent and promote the 就业服务中心 (CSC) to prospective students, 当前的学生, 校友, 企业组织, 和社区. The CEO Ambassadors program allows students to get involved on campus by promoting major events sponsored by the center, and participating in day-to-day activities while serving as a liaison in the CSC. 作为学生大使, you will serve as the first point of contact with hundreds of individuals during the academic year.

• Be in and maintain good academic standing with a current cumulative GPA of a 3.0或以上.,
• Have completed at least one semester at Jackson State University.
• Must have at least two semesters remaining, before graduation (excluding summer).
• Flexible schedule to participate in CSC activities and major events throughout the year (including daytime, 晚上, 和周末活动).
• Must participate in all training sessions, monthly meetings, an d retreats throughout the year. 工作角色 & 职责:
  • • Attend Career Service Center events. 这包括, but is not limited to set-up and breakdown of collateral used during events, assist recruiters during scheduled events, and advertise events on JSU campuses.
    • Conduct classroom/organizational presentations.
    • Promote and advertise events sponsored by the 就业服务中心 via social media, 传单, and word-of-mouth to JSU students, 教师, 和工作人员.
    • Flexible schedule to participate in CSC activities and major events throughout the year (including daytime, 晚上, 和周末活动).
    • Attend monthly staff meetings in the 就业服务中心.
    • Work weekly office hours in the 就业服务中心 throughout the semester. These hours will count as community service hours.
    • Maintain the 老虎职业衣橱 and assist with student appointments as needed.
    • Attend monthly staff meetings in the 就业服务中心.
    • Provide assistance in the office and perform other duties as assigned.

   

  申请流程:

• Applications will be accepted each Spring semester.
• Students must complete the CEO application to be considered.
• Students must submit a resume which should be electronically uploaded with application.
• Students chosen to serve as CEO ambassadors for the academic year. Attributes needed include:

  • Be responsive to service requests, reliable, and punctual. Successful CEO Student Ambassador applicants must demonstrate the following:
